Independence Crossing

Independence Crossing was a 64 unit new construction affordable housing initiative consisting of senior housing and retail space located in Somerset, New Jersey. The project entailed the demolition of an existing 40,000 square foot metal/concrete/brick structure. A 64 unit, 70,000 square foot structure was then erected in its place, consisting of senior housing apartments , a 10,000 square foot social services center, a state of the art community room, among other dynamic features . This project was environmentally conscious from the outset, as this is an Energy Star building, consisting of the installation of Energy Star rated light fixtures, low-flow consumption water closets, a new energy efficient HVAC system, energy efficient appliances in addition to the replacement of energy efficient Low E windows.
